AdSense has been my big money maker the past couple of months, but for no reason other than it was what I had on the site that got Dugg. Granted, if I’d had AdBrite instead of AdSense on it, I’d have earned less. AdSense is not a bad earner.

But after a couple of days, suddenly all I was getting was three ad units full of that flat stomach ad, or the get rid of wrinkles ad. If you’ve been anywhere on line in the last month, you’ve seen these ads. You probably have developed the ability not to see them, in self-defense against the assault of seeing them every damn where you go. The ads sure weren’t relevant to my site, nor were they appropriate for that site’s audience. Here I was, already frustrated, when I got an email from Google informing me they’re not going to do relevant keyword ads anymore, like I hadn’t noticed they’d already stopped some time ago.

In a nutshell, the email says I need to update my privacy statement to let my visitors know that from now on, they’ll get a little present when they come to my site: a cookie from Google, delivered via my AdSense ads, which will follow them everywhere they go within the happy AdSense publisher family of website, determine their “interests” and then serve them ads based on those interests.

I started trying to compose the new language in my privacy statement, then realized there was just no way I could participate in this. Not only is it my final straw in putting up with Google’s snoopiness, but it just makes no sense practically. I mean, imagine how well this is going to work on shared computers in homes or internet cafes. “Hmm, I’m searching for sexy lingerie, but keep getting ads for golf clubs.”

The point of this change is probably to kill business for those webmasters who have cornered the market on building sites that bring up certain expensive AdSense keywords. Most of Google’s business decisions seem to revolve not around making more money – they’re richer than God already – but around crushing people they’ve decided need crushing. A couple of years ago, it was Text Link Ads, and now it’s successful MFA webmasters.

I got off the AdSense ride yesterday. I think it’s still running on a couple of sites I don’t visit very often, but I’ll have it replaced everywhere within a week.

Oh, Google. You’ve become the J. Edgar Hoover of the internet – deeply paranoid, way too powerful, and obsessed with getting the dirt on everyone.

Many people have been pulled in by affiliate marketing simply because it may be quite rewarding as far as money goes, even if you just stay at home. Affiliate marketing programs are better options for people that are sick and tired of their arduous daily work only to move up the venerated company ladder. You do not require products to sell, you just have to market them on your very own web site and you don’t need to be concerned with processing the consumer’s payments or the shipping of the products.

As with many who first start out with affiliate marketing you would really like to be earning large amounts of money like the guru’s, although remember, that affiliate marketing cannot guarantee you immediate success if you do not do the work.

The simplest way for you to improve your revenue potential is by incorporating Google AdSense into the promotional efforts. Nonetheless, what is Google AdSense, what are the benefits and in what way can it boost my revenues? These are a few of the queries which you may wish to ask, so let’s try to probe into Google AdSense, so you’d have knowledge of the ways it may help you in your affiliate marketing effort.

Merchants place their advertisements into Google, which is one of the most popular search pages or tools for locating different resources on the Internet. Right now the Google AdSense program permits you to display these ads in you website and then as the visitors click them, you make money. The advertiser, being the merchant compensates Google for each and every click-through made by the customer and you as a partner of Google, get a piece of the payment.

Holding Google ads on your site is additionally a method of getting your visitors to return to your site. Repeat customers multiply the income without needed to exert additional effort to convince them click on the links again. Yet, your potential to earn doesn’t depend on them alone and since you already have their confidence, they can be your endorsers as well. They could refer your site to family and friends who probably share the same interests with them.

Advertisers in the Google AdSense campaign can be large international companies to smaller local businesses, so the targeted market for the ads can range too. That puts variety in your website – therefore, bringing in different kinds of users and as you attract additional users, you raise the earning possibilities as well. If you are targeting a specific nationality for your website visitors, do not fret as AdSense can be used in various languages.

In order to boost your revenues through Google AdSense, you must pay heed to creating sites of high value topics. Make contents pertaining to high-paying advertisements, therefore you could make more and while it is a fact that some advertisements just pay a few cents, others can pay you dollars for only a sole click. You would have to perform a little research on this so that you may create more relevant content and this is the reason that you should join affiliate marketing forums, to get hints from highly experienced affiliate marketers.

Becoming an AdSense affiliate marketer is easy and fast, you only need to apply on the Internet and once the application is approved, you may immediately set up Google ads on your site. All you have to do is insert some codes in your pages and quickly the ads would show up in your site. Take advantage of those convenient circumstances the Internet is providing to you and make the most of the affiliate marketing prospects, by employing Google AdSense!

1. Create a long-range planning calendar. Andy Wibbels clearly sets the bar (imho) with his support for affiliates, leading the way with a public calendar of his upcoming workshop dates that you can even link into your own calendar, if you are technically inclined. Include your free and paid class dates, new product launches, and anything else important that affiliates might need to know (being interviewed by Oprah?) and give your affiliates the luxury of planning their promotions ahead of time!
2. Offer quality marketing collateral material. Product graphics are a nice plus, but even more important is well-written sales tools — long and short sales letters, email copy, short blurbs for newsletter ads, even pre-written blog posts. Articles are another great tool for affiliates. (Wendy Weiss, the Queen of Cold Calling, is my favorite. In addition to an ample stock of high quality cold-calling articles on her site, she delivers a new article once a month via her newsletter — just right for a steady publishing schedule.) Make sure to give affiliates express permission to reprint your articles and provide your desired resource box for them to cut and paste and add their affiliate link.
3. Create a product funnel. If your main product is a high-ticket item (more than a couple hundred dollars), chances are slim that someone who knows nothing about you is going to buy right away. However, they might be willing to sign up for a free newsletter or ebook, then later purchase a $20 teleclass recording, and so on until they get to your big-ticket product. Don’t forget to create affiliate links so your team can promote your entire product line. (More about product funnels)
4. Love your affiliates! Okay, maybe that’s extreme, but at least remember to talk to them, so they’ll remember to promote you! Communicate often: share a success strategy or promotional copy that’s worked well for one of your affiliates (Michael Port does this really well). Especially, don’t forget to tell them, well in advance, of class dates and new product launch dates.
5. Identify and cultivate relationships with your super-affiliates. These are the folks who steadily market you and your products and bring in consistent prospects. Write them personally. Thank them when they’ve had a really great month promoting you. If you like, offer bonuses to show you really appreciate them. A really great strategy would be to send them a free copy of your product, or free admission to a workshop. They’ll probably be willing to write you a product review/testimonial, and they will be even more enthusiastic about promoting you! And don’t forget the up-and-comers — they may not be sending you much traffic now, but if they are doing the right things, they’ll be your future super-affiliates.

If you’ve been prosperous Cyberspaces selling for any duration of time at entirely, the odds are effective that you have discovered of ClickBank. ClickBank is an online seller of digital e-books and software. It is well-known succeeding the marketing worldwide because it is so easy to  an affiliate or to deal your individualized products all over this merchant!

ClickBank too has a long-standing reputation of paying their affiliates on time. It doesn’t hurt that many product owners offer very generous commissions! For instance, you might earn anywhere from 50% to 75% of a product’s price! All you need to do is get people to click through your link and buy the product.

ClickBank works so well, that this is often the first stop for many marketers who want to work as an affiliate. You can accurately create your own business and control your own income with ClickBank. They are very trustworthy and have a vast selection of products.

One of the problems with many other affiliate programs on the Web is that they are not easy to get accepted into, or it is difficult to make sales with them. When you go with ClickBank, you will nearly always get accepted as long as you provide accurate information self-made your application. Once you have signed up, you can easily obtain what is called a hop link to any product that is within the marketplace.

Once you have your hop link, or affiliate link, you will simply start a campaign to promote the product of your choice. There are many different ways to do this, but a common example is setting up a review page of the product and writing articles linking to it. When people find your articles successful the search engines, they may go ahead and buy the product if it relates to what they were searching for!

Of course, there are many things that go into selecting a profitable ClickBank product. You need to choose a hungry niche that is desperate for some kind of solution, or likes to take part prosperous a kind of hobby. Whatever it is, the people who are buying will be passionate.

For true success with Affiliate selling choose to research what other successful affiliates are doing to create their success.

If you thought affiliate marketing is as easy as placing a banner on your site and getting rich, think again – because to get some real affiliate cash rolling in, you need to do a lot more then that.

Affiliate marketing can make one rich, but only if he/she doesn’t follow the crowd and tries out new marketing techniques. Forget the promotional tools you get from the product owner.

What makes or breaks your affiliate campaign is your ability to convert the visitor to a sale/subscriber, and the most efficient way to do this is by having your own converting landing page.

Landing page creation is not a difficult task, in fact it’s real easy with the right tools, however, creating one that helps you make all those sales is the big challenge.

So how do you get your hands on all those conversions?

Not very hard, test every critical element of the landing page.

By consistent testing and tweaking, you’ll end up with a highly profitable page that spews money your way like your personal ATM! Given below are 3 landing page elements you need to test to send your conversion through the roof and make the most out of it.

Element # 1: Main Headline

Having a headline that grabs eye balls is half the battle one, because if your visitor doesn’t find the headline convincing, he/she won’t read further, period.

The only way to have a headline that grabs attention is to test out several ones and see what converts.

If testing new headlines doesn’t seem like an important task to you, then be ready for many “no sale” days.

Any sane marketer wouldn’t want that to occur, as nothing feels better than your visitor interested in what you’re offering and go buy what you’re selling.

Like we discussed, the only way to deal with such a situation is to work on different headlines and rotate them to find out the best.

Element # 2: Background Color

One more critical element of your landing page is the background color, which can increase or decrease your conversion rate.

There are background colors that really help the visitor stay on the page with their soothing effect and some might just do the opposite.

Optimizing your landing the right way isn’t easy, therefore change the background color and test it out to know what’s converting.

Element # 3: The Opt-In Form Position

When your aim is to collect your visitors contact info such as email address, you should try to get as many people to opt-in as possible.

This is where the core idea of positioning your opt-in form comes up, as it can adversely effect your conversion ratio.

How do you position the opt-in form correctly? A proven to make sure you maintain a good conversion ratio is put up the opt-in form on the top of the page, and not on the bottom.

When you position the opt-in form correctly, the next obvious step is to test and track how well it’s converting.

A blog is a type of software that helps you post (display) small articles on the web without having to set up a website. Most software for blogging are free.

Go to blogger.com to see some examples or set up a free one.

What’s the point of blogging? Well, you can start talking about a specific topic eg beahc vacations. The you promote your blog and get traffic (visitors) to it and build a relationship with your readers.

Then if yor recommend a product or a holiday package from a company some of your readers may buy. If you are an affiliate for tht company, when somone buys you get a commission. The company pays you directly.

So selling (by promoting or recommending) products from other companies that you are registered with as an affiliate is called affiliate marketing.

You can do affiliate markeitng with or without blogging. There are a huge number of ways.

Can you make “quick” money, from affiliate markeitng? Yes and no. It is possible to make “quick” money but not for someone totally new.

When you know what you’re doing, you can do anything quickly.

First you need to learn about affiliate marketing. Do some searches. Do not join any prigrams. Just learn from the info already published and there’s a ton of it out there.

For example, do a search on

ezinearticles.com

for “affiliate marketing”. It is completely free. There is no registration or anything else. And LEARN LEARN LEARN.

How much can you make? There’s a guy called Chris Wilson I think. He started with affiliate marketing (after learning what to do … took him a few months). He started earning a few hundred dollars per month …. and eventually hit $100,000 per month.

There are people who make 100K per week!

But the vast majoirty of people never make any money because they do not learn the basics and the intermediate and then the advanced stuff. They learn just a little and don’t even apply half of what they learn.

They then give up and move on to another “scheme” or “program” and there are tons of those as you can see from the recommendations (offers) on this page.

And they continue to jump from one program to another. Literally millions of people go on program hopping for 2 or 3 years and spend thousands each and earn nothing.

Don’t be one of those. Just learn, apply, monitor the results, make little (but very important) improvements and monitor again. This continuous process willl make rich beyond your imagination and you don’t need any schemes or programs or tricks or shortcuts (that don’t exist).

Happy learning and earning.

I’m not aware of anyone who considers niche marketing to be dangerous.

Niche marketing” usually refers to focusing some marketing efforts on a narrow field, rather than broad-based audiences.

I’m not sure what “market segmentation” refers to in your question; it probably just means the notion of slicing a large market into smaller niches.

For example, if I sell lawn mowers, I might focus 10% of my marketing budget to target landscaping contractors, who buy multiple lawn mowers each year (perhaps I’d buy ads in industry publications, or do a direct mailing; and another 10% of my marketing budget to reach managers of apartment properties that have landscaping staff; I might budget 20% of the marketing budget to reach resellers (dealers, stores) that sell lawn mowers; and I might allocate the other 60% of my marketing budget to reach consumers.

If I sell herbs and spices, I might choose to allocate some of my marketing budget to consumers who seek specific health benefits from herbs and spices, as compared to consumers who simply seek flavor.

If I sell two-line cordless phones, I might target small businesses and perhaps even a specific industry (dentists or pawn brokers) that my research indicates are likely buyers of two-line cordless phones.

Every product sold serves multiple “niche markets,” and every market can be divided into segments.

If there is any danger, it would be in focusing too much on a single niche or segment, and missing opportunities in other niches or segments. A great example is “destination travel” or “tourism,” where marketers seek to attract tourists to visit a specific location (Orlando, Chicago, San Francisco, Paris). Apparently, gay couples spend more on such trips than most other “market segments,” and therefore it can be profitable to allocate marketing dollars to target that audience. However, if the marketer chooses to exclude that niche (for whatever reason), there is a danger that other marketers will capture that niche, and earn more profits. Likewise, if 90% of the budget is spent on “gay tourism” then there is a risk not only of not “reaching” other potential visitors, but even of creating an impression that the destination is a “gay” or even “gay-only” destination, which might deter straight people from visiting.

Blogs are strong & here to stay. Of that, there is no argument. However, just setting up a blog on the Net is no guarantee that anybody is going to see it. You need to generate traffic to your blog. Trouble is, that’s easier said than done and getting your blog up the SERPs is no easily task. However, by ramping up a blog network, you can get all your blogs up the Search Engines rather easy. This article explains how.

Likely the easiest  to illustrate this is with an example. Let’s say that you needed to create a blog network going around around the rock group “The Beatles.” Now, putting up just one or two blogs would likely not get you very far in the Search Engines without a plenty of work. After all, this is one really popular group with a lot of sites out there. Nevertheless, what if we developed a network of blogs around the group itself? How can we do this? The following paragraph gives rare ideas. You can also try PPC Marketing .

How about we start off with a main Beatles blog. This one would get into a brief history of the Fab 4. Maybe include a list of all their albums & singles that they released. Then, we can set up some supporting blogs. For instance, we can get a blog for each member of the Beatles; Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. & then (this is the key) at each supporting blog, you have a link targeting to the main or father blog. This way, you get your network. Naturally, you would have links from the main blog to  of the supporting ones.

You can further expand on this. You could get a blog that has nothing but entirely their songs listed on with lyrics. You could make a blog that has nothing but video recordings of the Beatles. You could have yet other blog that leads into their individual lives, such as who they each were married to. You could have still another time line blog where you go through all the critical dates in their history, such as song issues, concerts and so on.

Do you look where I am leading with this? There are a number of specialty blogs that you can put up that all associate, in some fashion, to the mother blog. Linking them all together, you will eventually get one powerful network leading for you.

Yes, this does involve quite a bit of exercise, but in the long run, it will pay off big time if you do it correctly.

The best affiliate programs are the ones that target the same audience as your website

A site about travel to Europe works well with affiliate programs on travel booking sites, airlines, luggages, hotels, travel tours, travel books such as Amazon. Your site can provide the information, while the affiliate programs will provide the products that your audiences are very interested in and are prepared to buy.

The key is to know who your audiences are and what types of products they are most likely to respond. This is the best approach to finding affiliate programs that work

The worst approach is to create a site with no content, except affiliate ads. You will not be able to get traffic — and income from that type of site because it offers no value

Other than selling stuff (like on eBay or Amazon), most “make money online” sites are a scam, and a waste of time. I’ve looked into some of them, and every one is the same. This is no different than playing the lotto – you want to make money without putting forth any effort or money. You want a way to quickly and easily make a bunch of money without any effort or thought. Just stop trying – you’ll save a ton of time, and possibly avoid a few dangerous scams.

Most people I know (myself included) would love to magically get a bunch of money, because most jobs suck, and we as a society are dependent on money to buy our happiness. I’m not criticizing you, because I’ve wanted exactly what you’re looking for many times. But I’ve learned that it’s not going to come. Other than rare occasions, money doesn’t just fall into your lap, and when it does, it’s not from any “get rich quick” schemes – it’s pure chance and you cannot expect it or make it happen. If it does, great, but it probably won’t.

If you want to make money – think of an idea that no one has thought of before, and market it, or something like that. Or take something that already exists, and find a new use for it, or think of something that would be nice if it existed, and make it a reality.

Also, don’t focus so much on money – it’s a complete illusion anyway. It’s colored paper that is only worth what everyone says it is, and with the economy like it is, you shouldn’t put too much value in it right now.

You probably don’t want to be a wage-slave and work at McDonalds, or even in some cubicle for the rest of your life, even if it pays well. If you do want income (which is rather handy, admittedly), get a job that you enjoy – try something different. If you don’t like it, quit and try something else. Never keep a job just because you feel like you “need the money” – don’t sacrifice your happiness for colored bits of paper – life’s too short for that. But don’t expect free handouts or quick riches – that’s not how things work. Just be happy, and trust that things will work out if you want them to. Be willing to work for what you want, and don’t sacrifice your happiness to an illusion.

I always get this question and can understand how people become so confused.

There are hundreds of tools out there, both free and paid, so which should you use?

I have used many of the free keyword research tools and a few of the paid tools and industry professionals I have spoken with consistently recommend at least 1 of these paid tools…

They either love Wordtracker or Keyword Discovery.

They each have their pros and cons. If you are in North America, usually I recommend Wordtracker, it is very easy to use and you can quickly find some great golden nuggets.

If you are from anywhere else (besides the UK) I would recommend Keyword Discovery as it does have a multilingual database and some great regional stats. Keyword Discovery also has a 12 month seasonal analysis which can be very revealing, in addition, it has a shopping database, that actually pulls info from major ecommerce stores like Amazon, Bizrate, Froogle and others.

One of the downsides is that Keyword Discovery is a bit more expensive but it does provide great data.

If you live in the UK, it is a toss up between either tool, Keyword Discovery has always worked well for this region but I have found that the Wordtracker database for the UK is growing stronger.

For a free trial of Keyword Discovery, you can visit KeywordDiscovery
